From the Cleburne County Chamber of Commerce

The Cleburne County Chamber of Commerce has announced the hiring of Beverly Ervin as the new Executive Director. Beverly comes to the Chamber with over ten years experience in business management, sales, and human resource management. She holds a Masters in Management (concentration in HR) from Troy University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Jacksonville State University. A native of Cleburne County, Beverly has been active with the chamber for several years, as well as with Heflin Main Street. A proud mother of two (Tatiana and Ronald Jr.) and wife (Ronald Ervin), she is an active member of her church, New Beginnings Ministry, and volunteers with the Cleburne County Varsity Softball and Basketball teams.

Beverly replaces outgoing director, Abby Minter, who was recently hired with Cleburne County Extension. “We are always taught to leave things better than we found them,” states Minter. “The chamber directors preceding me set the bar high, and I was always conscious that I needed to do everything I could to honor the work they put in to make the chamber successful. Beverly is amazing, and I am so excited to have her on board to keep the chamber moving in the right direction.”

The current board president, Ashley Lines agrees with Ms. Minter. “Beverly’s education, her past corporate experience, her current experience as a small business owner, and her commitment to this community put her in a unique position to succeed in this role. The board members are confident the chamber will continue to flourish under her leadership.”

With Minter’s guidance this week, Beverly is eager to jump right in. “I am thankful for the super warm welcome to the chamber family and am sincerely looking forward to working with everyone to continue Cleburne County’s business growth and development. It’s an awesome feeling to be proud of where you come from and to want to work to make great things happen. There is so much that we can accomplish if we are determined to do so, commit to it, and work together,” Beverly says. “Abby, previous directors, and the board members have laid the foundation for success. I’m eager to keep it moving forward!”
