The Cleburne County Chamber of Commerce is honored to host ribbon cuttings for three new businesses opening in the county.

Fruithurst Dollar General will be celebrating their grand opening on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 8:00am. “Tanya Maloney, Heflin’s Industrial and Economic Development Board, and the Hunt family have worked this project from start to close for almost two years.  Retail deals are few and far between these days, and I am happy that the City of Heflin Industrial Board and the City of Heflin could help bring this development home for Fruithurst,” said Jay Grubbs, Chairman of the City of Heflin Industrial and Economic Development Board. This is great for Fruithurst and Cleburne County!

Morgan Hill Market will also celebrate their grand opening on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 11:00am. Morgan Hill Market is owned by Stephanie Morgan of Ranburne Alabama and is located at 3696 Hwy 78, Heflin, Alabama. Stephanie describes Morgan Hill Market as ,”a gathering place with extra special touches you will not find anywhere else.”

“I wanted to open a business in Cleburne County because I love our community and wanted a place that is full of faith, friendship, and fun, for us to gather and grow closer. I have always wanted a storefront, a place where someone took an extra step to make your gift-buying extra special. Morgan Hill is a place not only to purchase gifts for friends, but also a place to gather.”

Stephanie says to be sure to like them on Facebook to stay up to date of upcoming events that will be hosted at Morgan Hill Market!

The Chamber also will be hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony for Brown’s Buns Tanning on Friday, November 3, 201, at 5:00pm. Browns Buns is owned and operated by Jessica Brown. Jessica describes Brown’s Buns as, “my own little oasis that I have created with my own signature style.”

Jessica has been a stay at home mom for 24 years. When asked why she chose to open up her own business she said, “ I have been extremely blessed to be able to be home with my girls, but when they were finishing up high school and college I realized they didn’t need me as much, so I began thinking about what I could do with my time. My wonderful husband has always been supportive of me no matter what I want to do, and I had the idea of opening up a tanning salon for several years because I have seen a need and an interest for this in Heflin.”

“I wanted to do something that my husband and my girls. Meagan and Lauren, could be proud of me for.”

Brown’s Buns will have traditional tanning beds, certified spray tanning technicians, as well as bath bombs, organic soaps and scrubs, AP24 Whitening toothpaste, makeup erasers, and products specifically for men, such as Beard oil and Shaving Bars.

“The thing that excites me the most is the Red Light Therapy Bed! The Red Light Therapy bed is 100% UV free which is amazing for people who can’t be exposed to UV light. I purchased this for selfish reasons because I read about this bed helping people with Fibromyalgia, arthritis, eczema, and other conditions.”
