Employment Workshop for Jobseekers and Local Businesses
Cleburne County Mountain Center
January 10, 2018, the Cheaha Career Center will have a representative at the Cleburne County Mountain Center located at 6751 Highway 78 (near Southwire on Southwire Drive) to meet with both local small business employers as well as individuals who are seeking employment opportunities.

Were you aware that as an employer in Cleburne County, the Career Center may be able to help subsidize the cost of training your employees? Even if it’s on-the-job OJT training!

The Career Center is part of the Alabama JobLink program and offers services you’re likely unfamiliar with that could provide a benefit to local employers as well as employment seekers.

Prospective employees and job seekers should be present at 10 a.m. for an hour-long presentation.  Local employers should attend at 2 p.m. in order to learn how you can possibly qualify for reimbursement of a portion of your new employee training costs, even the time spent training on-the-job.  This is a program few locals are aware of but I assure you, this program can provide significant financial assistance to businesses in Cleburne County and should not be overlooked.

If you have questions regarding timing or location, you can contact the Cleburne County Mountain Center Receptionist from 8:30-noon Monday through Friday by dialing 256-463-3899.
